Workshop Description:
Join us as we adapt the children’s book Bear Wants More to teach core and fringe vocabulary at a 4 to 1 ratio! This engaging workshop will focus on incorporating low, mid, and high-tech assistive technology to transform this beloved story into an effective adaptive book designed for teaching vocabulary, phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, and written expression.
What to Expect:
Collaborative Session:
Participate in hands-on activities where you will make adaptations to the book and story to meet the needs of ALL students and design interactive activities that promote phonemic awareness, reading comprehension, and written expression.
Assistive Technology Integration:
Explore various assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences, including: low, mid, and high tech options.
