Nabiha is the Interim Director of AEM. A certified TVI and a Certified Autism Exercise Specialist. She holds the NLS Transcribing Certification from the National Library of Congress and co-created the Braille Prison Program at Angola. Nabiha is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Research with a minor in Special Education at LSU. She is a national presenter, including APH and GITWBL.

Saundra is an Assistive Technology Regional Specialist with 10 years of teaching experience, 8 of which were as a TVI. During her tenure as a TVI she primarily taught social studies, living skills, and business classes. She comes to the AEM center after having been the Program Director at Affiliated Blind of Louisiana. She loves to come up with creative new ways to keep things interesting and educational. Saundra is a driven individual who is always seeking to expand her skills. She is a Perkins Certified Brailler Repair Technician and currently she is working on expanding her skills by obtaining her NLS Transcribing Certification and her Master’s in O&M.

This foundational resource provides a comprehensive framework for effective AT services in alignment with IDEA, ensuring that students have access to the tools and support they need to succeed.

She is the Louisiana representative for the State Education Agencies Communication Disabilities Council. Katie is a double alumna of LSU COMD. She also teaches AAC and ASD at LSU BR.
